It's not uncommon for us to enter an organizing project where the client has already purchased several products without first doing the research to ensure they will work in the space. Before browsing our suggestions below, follow these helpful tips:

• Declutter the area before making any organizing product purchases. It's important to know what items will be staying in the space before organizing.

• Measure and make a plan for where items should "live" in the space.

• Determine what type of product will work best in the space. Most products can be used for a multitude of purposes, and some will work better than others for your specific space and needs.

• Only use cloth items in cloth bins (like the bins on this list for storing undergarments). Heavier matierals can make these lightweight bins tear and be clumsier to control when moving them in and out of a space. Additionally, liquids and powders are not easily cleaned off of cloth material.

• Use acrylic/plastic and metal for storing liquids and food. These materials are easy to wipe down when cleaning.
